Clay Moves to the Kentucky Horse Park
June, 2007
The Kentucky Horse Park is now homebase for Clay Maier and The Friesian Spectacular. Clay and his Friesians perform daily when Clay is at the Park.

This is not the first time that Clay and his band of Friesians have been part of the Horse Park team. As far back as the late nineties, when Louisville hosted Equitana USA, Clay performed at the Park whenever in the area.

As the 2010 World Equestrian Games make their way to Kentucky, the good folks in Lexington are preparing to put their best foot forward. This time around, as well as performing with his own horses, Clay will be working with the Park horses and staff developing new entertainment programs.

Saber says hello to folks at the Park
"I knew this move was going to be good but I had no idea. The program here at the Horse Park suits me perfectly. My time is filled with good horses and good people dedicated to make something worthwhile. The days are long, but I couldn't be happier.

"In addition to the daily routine of Park activities, there is the rest of the horse world coming and going. Big events are always happening, so I get the added bonus of watching some of the best horsemen in the world do their thing.

"The World Equestrian Games of 2010 feels like a huge storm getting closer and closer. Meanwhile, my horses are tucked away in the "Big Barn": 475' long, 75' wide — the largest wooden barn in the world.

"The Horse Park directors have also made it possible for me to be part of their team and continue all of my Friesian Spectacular and Rein Dance activities. Actually, I'll be on the road more in 2008 than any past year doing ground work, long reining and driving clinics, and of course, The Friesian Spectacular.

"Though, when I'm not traveling, I'll be hanging out with the likes of 'Cigar' and 'John Henry'… Now how cool is that!"
