This classic surcingle design is preferred by most professionals. It is made of premium leather and is padded to fit comfortably. Four large rings on each side to offer a variety of adjustments for each horse's training needs.
The surcingle comes with a custom-made pad of 1"-thick high-density foam wrapped in heavy-duty cordura. The pad secures to the surcingle with wide, double-stitched velcro straps.

"The training surcingle I use is a traditional style. Made of premium leather, it is stuffed with felt for a comfortable fit. The surcingle adjusts from both sides, making it easier to fit different-size horses.
Each side has four large rings to give me a variety of rein placement choices, depending on the training situation. For instance, I work green horses on the lower rings. I also use the lower rings on my advanced horses that need exercises to encourage them to stretch and reach for the bit.
All the surcingles are made by a family-run harness shop. When I first visited them, I noticed the consistent quality of all of their harness products. High-grade leather and dependable stitching are their hallmarks.
